An ideal teacher from the point of view of pupils

The bachelor thesis focuses on the view of the ideal teacher. It examines the key characteristics of the ideal teacher from the point of view of fifth and ninth grade primary school pupils and whether their perspective differs. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical part - research. The theoretical part contains the definition of the teaching profession, the requirements for teachers and their professional competences. The information on the relevant development periods of the surveyed respondents, are provided further. The practical part focuses on research and hierarchy of the key characteristics of the teacher according to the answers of the questioned pupils. The classification was based on the results of the questionary investigation. The questionary was based on the knowledge obtained in the theoretical part, in particular from the competences of the teacher. In the practical part it is further evaluated whether the view of the ideal teacher differs between the individual age categories that were examined.
Competances beginning teachers at primary school to individualize teaching

This Thesis is focused on beginning teachers as absolvents of Charles University Faculty of Education with experience at most three years. There is explained what competences teachers have to individualize lessons at Primary school. This topic is very popular these days and doesn't cover only children with specific needs or children who are gifted, but it includes all pupils. This thesis tries to map this current situation with eight chosen teachers who respond to our requairments. The Teoretic part is divided into five chapters, which describe professional quality of teacher with deep focusing on personal characteristic, the term a beginning teacher and his most frequent problems. Next chapter is focused on pedagogical competences. Subchapters are conected with deep analyzation of teacher's competances to individualize his lessons and introduse some tendences in current preparatory education of teachers at primary schools. Multicultural education at a primary school

The topic of the thesis is mapping the issue of multicultural education at primary schools. The main aim is to penetrate the current structures, to assess the possibilities of the teacher's work in the school environment and to find other ways of multicultural education of pupils in relation to the findings. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legal environment of the issue at the level of the Czech Republic and the anchoring of multicultural education in curricular documents. It describes possible ways of thinking and approaches in contemporary intercultural education as well. It also includes the possibilities and principles of the educational process from the teacher's personality, his own competences, setting goals and content, appropriate forms and methods of work to the pupils and other factors influencing the lesson of multicultural education. Bases of establishing and maintaing authority in education from the perspective of student teachers in the international context

The dissertation thesis deals with bases of establishing and maintaining authority in education from the perspective of student teachers in the international context. The thesis is divided into six chapters, the first three of which lay down its theoretical groundwork. In the first chapter the term authority is defined both generally and from the point of view of education, then it is classified and categorized, which is followed by an outline of possible dilemmas authority may cause in education. The second chapter charts both internal and external determinants of establishing and maintaining authority in education, i.e. it deals with the influence of teacher's personality and expertise, pupil, interaction of a teacher and a pupil, official pedagogical documents, as well as social and cultural factors. The theoretical part is concluded by the review of the contemporary research of authority in education. The fourth chapter presents the research question and characterizes bases of the selected research methodology - grounded theory. Issue of assessment of the readiness of students and trainee teachers on teaching practice

The closing thesis deals with the issue of undergraduate training of students at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia and their following introduction into the school practice. The thesis verifies whether students' presumptions for choosing to study at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, changed their idea about the readiness to enter the school practice including possessing individual pedagogical skills. This thesis brings many findings for the school management. These findings can be applied in new employees' adaptation. Among the benefits of this thesis belongs renewal of the discussion about teaching profession and clarification of basic terms and their semantic content in the theoretical literature. Questionnaire survey showed that there has been happening a change with the students who choose faculty of education, i.e. they choose it purposely with the vision of teaching profession. School management should reflect this change.
Teacher, collegiality and collaboration

The thesis is focused on collaboration, cooperativeness, and mutual communication of teachers that represents one of the key pillars of the successful process of education. The cooperation of teachers is very important in the new conception of the school education program as well as in fulfilling cross-sectional topics and interdisciplinary relationships. The theoretical part describes basic terms, teacher's personality, his (her) roles and profession competencies, authorities and reputation of the teacher. The theoretical part also features information regarding collaboration of teachers in general, typical forms of the collaboration, deals with the role of school in teachers' collaboration. The aim of the empirical part is to map a topic of collaboration and cooperativeness among high school teachers. An additional aim is to analyze whether the cooperativeness and collaboration represents a benefit for high school teachers, and, eventually what might hinder such collaboration. The attitudes of pupils of primary schools towards people with disabilities

Thesis is focused on attitudes of the 4th and the 5th grade pupils towards people with disabilities. Specifically it is the influence of influencing the manifestations of otherness on the cultivation of pupils' attitudes towards the issue. Thesis defines the manifestation and otherness of selected types of disabilities. In context of modify of pupils' attitudes, findings from the psychosocial development pupils in late middle childhood are summarized. Thesis also presents the personality of the class teacher from the perspective of the teacher's professional competencies. The aim of the thesis is to find out what are the attitudes of the 4th and the 5th grades of primary schools towards people with disabilities and whether the teaching process can modify the attitudes. Through a research survey 455 pupils from randomly selected primary schools in Prague, it was found that half of them have difficulty accepting otherness of people with disabilities. The least accepted group are people with mental disabilities. Thesis also presents a relations between positive attitudes of pupils and social proximit of people with disabilities, also realtions between the pupils' ignorance of the issue, low awareness and together with lower social proximity.
